EKSISTENSI PERSERIKATAN BANGSA-BANGSA (PBB) SEBAGAI ORGANISASI INTERNASIONAL DINTINJAU DARI HUKUM INTERNASIONAL

Abstrak

This research is intended to examine more deeply the existence of the United Nations (UN) as an international organization in terms of international law. This research is descriptive in nature, the type of research method used is normative legal research, using a normative juridical approach, data collection techniques through literature study. The results of the research show that the existence of the United Nations as an international organization is well maintained and plays a role from its inception to the present. The United Nations as a subject of international law has main organs and special agencies. The birth of the United Nations was based on the failure of the LBB to maintain world peace, so the United Nations was born to create and maintain international peace and security. The UN functions are divided into three, namely the judicial, legislative, and executive or political functions, each of which is carried out by the main organs and special agencies of the UN. Achieving the goals set by the UN has principles or principles in carrying out its duties which are contained in the UN Charter. The UN's success in resolving disputes between countries and its track record in overcoming the problems that exist in each country have made the UN known to people all over the world.
